A Non-Traditional Maternity Session

Jen is a non-traditional person and an excellent photographer in her own right, and so when she contacted me to photograph her Bump I was very excited, because I love maternity photography. A woman who is pregnant has a glow about her that I love to capture, and I think you’ll agree that Jen has that glow. We shot until there was no light left to even focus with, and had loads of fun. Sweet Sheryl

Jennie’s Intimate Session

Recently I had the opportunity to photograph the beautiful Jennie. Jennie is as sweet as she is beautiful, and we had a great time. We got some amazing images, soft and beautiful, very classy stuff. The funny thing was that when I arrived at her place, she had a visitor — a skunk on the back porch, who I guess just dropped by to watch the proceedings. Maybe his name was Pepe le Pew, no? He was gone by the time we wrapped up. Maybe he realized that Jennie’s out of his league.

Amberly and Andi

We had so much fun with Amberly last month that I couldn’t WAIT to shoot with her again. She brought along her friend Andi, and we we had a blast. Both of these young women are absolutely lovely, and loads of fun to work with. Editing the photos, I realize that there are so many good ones it’s almost impossible to choose only a few, so I think you’ll excuse me for posting so many.

Gorgeous Gina

I recently had the opportunity to photograph Gina in a Gothic-type photo session. We met up on a Thursday evening in Scottsdale and shot for a couple of hours. Gina had come down from Kingman for a few days of sessions, and I was fortunate to get to work with her before her long drive back to Kingman. It was humid (for Arizona), and warm, and I’m sure she was exhausted but she didn’t look it.

Tracy Trashes the Dress

April 18, 2009, at The Castle at Ashley Manor, Tracy and Nick tied the knot. A delightful couple, fun and loving, the wedding was a pleasure to photograph. At the end of the evening, Tracy and her girls decided to cool off in the fountain, and that germinated an idea: why not do a trash the dress session? We met up in north Scottsdale and jumped in the pool. The water was cool, Tracy is beautiful, and the dress… well, the dress needed a little repair afterward, but BOY did we have a good time.

A Trash the Dress session is a great after-wedding portrait idea. It’s not necessary to destroy the dress; we can go out and have fun photographing you in your dress in situations and locations you wouldn’t normally go in your dress. Think of it as a modeling session with a twist. We can include a TTD session in your wedding coverage, or we can do a separate session regardless of who your original photographer was. Amberly’s Modeling Portfolio Session

Last Thursday Oscar and I had the opportunity to photograph Amberly, a beautiful young up-and-coming model. She’s got a great look for runway or print work, and looks great in a bikini. The Harley was an added bonus. Boy does she look good. I think she has a good future ahead of her in the industry.
