I LOVE Maternity Sessions — and This One ROCKS.

I love shooting maternity sessions; I don’t think there’s anything more beautiful than a new mother. She has a glow around her that can’t be found anywhere else, and that happiness is contagious. Please contact me for information about my Maternity sessions and products available.

I was blessed last Saturday to be invited to shoot a maternity session for Trina and her little girl Brynlee, who is doomed to be the most girly-girl little baby on the planet! Trina’s adorable and can’t take a bad picture, and we just laughed and laughed and laughed during the shoot. She wanted to shoot with all the food she’s been craving during her pregnancy, and also with the (seemingly) MILLIONS of pairs of shoes Brynlee already owns.

Morgan and Brian Engagement Session

Having been around weddings for a long time, it’s easy to tell a couple who is truly good together, and Morgan and Brian are very much the definition of “good together.” What a delightful couple. We met at Tempe Town Lake and discovered that the places we wanted to shoot were occupied with a bicycle race, a wedding and a quinceanera, so we punted and found locations to shoot anyway, and got some lovely stuff. I am excited for their wedding in April!

Ariane & Ryan, Beautiful North Scottsdale Wedding

November 12, 2011 was supposed to be nasty and raining and cold for Ariane and Ryan’s wedding. We were expecting the worst but got blessed with the best! A beautiful bride and groom, a great family, a fantastic property, and a magnificent sunset to crown a truly exhilarating wedding day. Ariane and Ryan are super sweet, just good people who have terrific chemistry, and it shows in the way they treat one another and also everyone around them. I am grateful to have been able to share their day and to photograph them. Thank you!

Summer is not considered an optimum time to get married in Arizona because it’s a gazillion degrees outside. But summer is also a GREAT time to get married in Arizona, because dates are still open! Lisa & Jesse, 19 March 2011

Saturday’s wedding at The Phoenician in Phoenix, AZ was a long one, a beautiful one with a lovely couple and delightful families. Anne of One Fine Day Photography and I were privileged to photograph the wedding of Lisa and Jesse, and we had plenty of time to make beautiful photos for these two doctors who have pledged their lives to helping people who are ill. A fantastic day with a deserving couple who are truly well-matched!

Allison and Kyle up North in Sedona

On a beautiful rainy day in Sedona, Allison and Kyle were joined together before close friends and family in a small ceremony at L’Auberge Hotel. Initially intended to be outdoors by Oak Creek, the rains came and so we were moved indoors. Allison didn’t let this put a damper on the day, though, and we took advantage of the beautiful diffused light and the spectacular locations to get some stunning photos both before and after the wedding. Allison’s flowers were prepared by Bliss Extraordinary Floral of Sedona to augment Allison’s beauty. Enjoy!

Kirsten and Tony at The Phoenician

One would think that October in Phoenix is supposed to be COOL. Someone must have forgotten to tell the funny little man who has his hand on the weather switch and changes it from hot to cool, though, because it was a not-so-balmy 106 degrees when Kirsten and Tony tied the knot at the Phoenician on October 1st. Phil Waring joined the couple in matrimony at the gazebo. Kirsten couldn’t have been more beautiful, and Tony looked great in his tuxedo, and the bridal party was jovial. We had fun shooting around the grounds of the Phoenician, and then after the ceremony we went up to the Recreation Center at Cimarron Hills Clubhouse for the reception. The reception overlooked the city lights of beautiful Scottsdale, Arizona. What a beautiful day, even with the heat, and congratulations to Kirsten and Tony!

Allison and Kyle Engagement Session

Allison and Kyle are getting married in October at L’Auberge in Sedona. They are such a lovely couple, fun and sweet together. Good-looking, too, but that’s just a bonus to how much fun we had shooting in a gazillion degree heat in Scottsdale. We couldn’t tell that they were sweating like crazy, because the photos came out so well. Engagement sessions are included in most of my wedding coverage packages. Spring is in the air… the Stork is on his way

Okay, it’s actually summertime. Sharett and Matt came over for the first of a series of maternity photo sessions. We had a great time, and Sharett is SO CUTE with her baby bump just poking out. Mothers-to-be have a glow about them that feeds the soul, and when we added Sharett’s husband Matt to the photos, it got truly special. I am very excited to document Baby’s development. 🙂
